Chesa said on 5th Mar 2009 10:36 pm: “I’m an Indonesian citizen and I am concerned why the police/authority in Singapore have not been able to give the public a response from this Professor who was allegedly attacked by this Indonesian overachiever. This Professor could not have been badly injured by this Indonesian student because he has already been release from the hospital. Also, as reported by Indonesian news reports, why didn’t the Singapore authorities allowed his remains to brought back to Indonesia by his family. There’s something that does not sound right about this i.e. the truth of this tragedy is not being made public, why?

No Truth University said on 5th Mar 2009 5:21 pm: “I think the university and media focusing on David losing his scholarship as the cause of the incident is an effort to steer away from what the real problem was. He was a very smart student. I don’t think he was dumb enough to think that the professor was the one responsible for his scholarship. I’ve heard many students complaining and made frustrated by their demanding FYP supervisors (I’m a final year student who is fortunate enough to get a good supervisor). To blame the loss of scholarship alone doesn’t do justice to David and especially his family. As much as the professor did not deserve to get stabbed, I really think the family deserves to know what kind of treatment David had received from the professor.

If he has not paid school fee… how could NTU allow him to study and use facilities in school?? the school fee has to be paid long before the semeter even starts. 2 months and he was still in school with unpaid tution fee?? something wrong with NTU management. either they dont really care about school fee collection (which i doubt so) or they give him mercy hoping that the school fee will be paid soon. it was more than 2 months. they just dont have this reaching out attitude. if you around NUS, NTU, and SMU… NTU is the most rigid and have this “sombong” attitude. no sense of service. well…. i should give credit to International Student Unit, the only friendly and warm peoples up there…. but only if you approach them.
